Ushers do so much more than just pass around the offering plate (or basket in our case) each week. They are the men who serve by doing what may seem to be the mundane, but that which is vital to our church life continuing to run smoothly. They are those who give you the weekly bulletin, who help with the organizing of collecting the regular tithes and offering, help pass out the communion, and are also those who will randomly be called upon (every now and then you'll hear the pastor say from the pulpit, "Can I get a few ushers to…?").
Yeah, we need these men.
